CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Allan stumbled into CrossFit in 2013 after a colleague suggested he “give it a go”. That was when the CrossFit bug bit and in 2019 he completed the CrossFit Level 1 course. After taking early retirement, Allan moved his focus into improving and developing his own CrossFit ability and how he coaches others. Allan said: “I still struggle with some technical movements and my engine isn’t what it used to be, but it’s considerably better than it was when I started CrossFit. Coming from a running and cycling background I thought I was fit but realise now that my strength and mobility was suffering by repeatedly doing the same things and expecting different results.
“People don’t get old and stop doing things, people stop doing things and get old. All that we do at the box will not only stop things going downhill but reverse them.”
