Karen started CrossFit in 2014 and it is one of the best things she has ever done! She has always been into fitness and comes from running background, having participated in a lot of events (10ks, half marathons and the Loch Ness Marathon.
After having her first child in 2018, she came back to CrossFit with even more passion for the sport. A few months after giving birth, she completed her CrossFit Level 1 and started coaching at CrossFit 57 North.
When she is not coaching, you’ll find Karen in the kitchen baking sweet treats and cakes.
Her favourite thing about CrossFit is how it can change your life, seeing how powerful the CrossFit community is and how it brings people from different backgrounds together to train in a wee garage gym.
Karen’s favourite movements are clean and jerk, deadlifts and handstand push ups. She has competed in pairs and team competitions and loves partner workouts!
